I guess I'd like to see some additional speculation about different "takes" or suggestions on follow through to/for The Lesson exercise.

Like what are the costs of keeping gas at $1.50/gallon for US. For example: the cost to the environment, for extraction, processing and combustion. Or, how about the cost to the rights and cultures of indigenous peoples of oil rich regions?

I'm not so sure that normal is a viable destination.
