Ten
Things We're Thankful For This Thanksgiving
November
21, 2001
–
The Pioneer Valley is an unlikely target of terrorism (I
knew there was a reason we moved here!)
–
The Afghan people are finally starting to receive some
of the aid that our country — and dozens of others —
has been sending for the past month
–
The freedom to go out in public, go to school, go to
work, practice any religion we choose and love as we
please
–
The Macy's Parade offers an alternative to the
all-anthrax, all the time newscasts
–
Grilled turkey with Jamaican jerk marinade (chef Don is
getting creative this year!)
–
Fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables to complete
the feast
–
The birds (otherwise known as Cat TV) are returning to
the window feeders
–
Cool weather that makes us appreciate the warmth of a
cozy fire
–
A midweek break from work
and
most of all
–
The company of family and friends
Happy
Thanksgiving!
