A Dark Morning, Still I'm Mourning
by Max Johl
Greenfield Middle School

It's a dark grave morning
and still I'm mourning.
There's crying in the air.
The feeling of mourning
for our loved ones,
I can't bear.

He came in the day before,
a gun in his pocket,
that he got in back
of his Dad's store.

He pulled it out,
pulled back the barrel,
opened fire.
Suddenly the blood
dripped red on the floor.
Five more dead, still I mourn.

The heavens filled up
and let out their rain.
crying for the loved ones,
lost in all this pain.

Now he's in jail,
but I don't care...
because my brother
and my two friends...
I'll never... see... them
anywhere.

He was only 13,
killed by this small
little kid.
I guess I might
get mad too.
I mean he was
annoyed by them
from day two.
The kids had no
respect for him,
so I guess he
decided to have
none for them,
But in the
clutter
went down... my
... brother.
