As a Software Developer, I had finally heard the phrase,
"Installing Democracy", one too many times by politicians and media talking heads & voices (especially since the events leading up to the War On Iraq).
What is this word INSTALL??? They sound like they are trying to install SOFTWARE!!! Anyone who has tried to install software knows how fun and frustrating it can be. So that is the basis for this website, the blending of Software Installation with Democracy Installation.
As a part-time musician who enjoys doing song-parodies, I felt this topic needed more than a song-parody. This topic required a Software Installation parody!
As a First Generation American on my Mother's side of the family, I am very concerned about the current and future course of this country (i.e. The United States of America), that I was born in. My Mother's family left a country that was once ruled by a facist dictator (when my Mother was growing up). My hope and concern is that this should never, ever happen here in the good ol' USA. I am looking forward to Election 2004, if you get my drift.
