Programs of Note
Loans
are available to rural youths from 10 - 20 years old to
finance any kind of income-producing product. The loans
are available from the local Farm Service Agency of the
USDA. Youths from the Future Farmers of America (FFA)
and 4-H clubs and similar organizations are encouraged
to apply. The maximum loan is $5,000 and the repayment
schedule will vary depending on the type of project.
Projects may include lawn and garden care, livestock,
crop production, repair shops, catering service, arts
and crafts sales, roadside stands among others. Call

Homes Project of the Franklin Regional Council of
Governments offers free, confidential, and educational
assessments to reduce health and safety hazards in our
home. Great for all homes, especially those with
