Now,
I was touched by the outpouring of response to my new
dog. "Congratulations," you said. "A new
puppy, how exciting," you wrote. I'm sorry, did I
forget to mention that Kimba is not exactly a whelp?
She's not exactly a puppy, either!
Why the dear dog is old enough to get into a
movie for half price if they extended senior citizen's
discounts to dogs!
She's 63 in dog years, but Medicaid will not
cover the $250 worth of oral surgery needed to cure her
atomic halitosis. But now she looks at me with her
chocolate drop eyes and her not-too-foul-smelling smile
and it's as if she's been a part of our family forever.
Kind of like a doggie version of my grandma. And like my
85 year old Grandma, when she's got to go, well, she's
really got to go! Now, does anyone know where I can get
some doggie "Depends?"
